Michelle received her Masters in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2007 and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois.  She believes in building a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients, empowering them to create change while respecting their individual experience. 

Michelle has over 11 years of experience working with a wide variety of issues, ranging from depression and anxiety to schizophrenia and eating disorders.  She worked for over three years in community mental health where she provided individual and group psychotherapy, case management, and psychoeducational groups to a wide variety of clients.  Michelle also spent over two years working extensively with clients who had severe eating disorders, mood disorders, trauma/PTSD, and anxiety disorders at Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization levels of care. 

In addition to ongoing continuing education, Michelle has received additional training in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and has completed Illinois' 40 Hour Domestic Violence Training. Michelle's therapeutic interests include infertility and perinatal disorders, relationship and dating difficulties, family of origin issues, life transitions, and working with emerging adults and introverts.
